3 Indonesian Startups Graduated from Google for Startups Accelerator

Three startups from Indonesia have successfully graduated from Google for Startups Accelerator: Southeast Asia. They are Hacktiv8, Kata.ai, and Riliv. After receiving online tutoring and special support for three months, the three local startups along with 12 other participants from Southeast Asia finally finished the program.

“We congratulate 15 Southeast Asian startups, including Kata.ai, Hacktiv8, and Riliv from Indonesia, on their graduation,” said Randy Jusuf, Managing Director of Google Indonesia, in his statement, Friday (11/13/2020).

Randy assessed that they are working hard to solve some very important challenges in Indonesia and in their region. “Google, through the Accelerator program, is delighted to be able to support them all,” he continued.

The accelerator provides access to the best of Google’s support; HR, networking and cutting-edge technology – to help startups create great products.

Guidance and Technical Support from Google

Participants receive dedicated guidance and support from Google’s global mentor network, as well as access to AI / ML, Cloud, Android and Web experts from Google. In addition to mentoring and support for technical projects, Accelerator also provides in-depth discussions and workshops focused on product design, business strategy, customer acquisition, and leadership development for startup founders.

“We understand that many startups are struggling to overcome challenges to adapt to the new situation posed by Covid. Through Accelerator, we want to take advantage of Google’s best support to help Indonesian startups adapt their strategies and adapt to current conditions,” said Head of Startup Ecosystem SEA, Thye Yeow Bok.

More than 600 startups signed up for the Accelerator program. Google is specifically looking for startups that offer solutions in healthcare, education, finance, or logistics due to current social restrictions.

Restored startups must use AI / ML or data analysis in an effective manner; or who use technology to make the world friendlier for the elderly or people with disabilities.

Irzan Raditya, CEO & Co-founder of Kata.ai said the Google for Startup Accelerator program helps companies open their minds, find out best practices, and specific strategies / techniques in areas they want to learn more deeply.

“We not only learn practical things from the best experts and talents in their fields, but we are also assisted if we have questions, difficulties, or when we want to open channels / networks to certain individuals. This is very useful for me and other co-founders,” explained Irzan.

Previously, Kata.Ai had Collaborated with Facebook and Instagram

Kata.ai now provides an Instagram Message Conversation service. Through Kata Instagram Solution, users can now integrate the Instagram Message Conversation service on the omnichannel dashboard.

This service introduces a new API feature that allows business owners to directly integrate the message features in the Instagram application to the omnichannel platform used, making it easier for business operations and customer service.

“It is an honor for Kata.ai to be able to work with Messenger from Facebook in providing API services for Instagram Message Conversations,” said CEO and Co-founder of Kata.ai, Irzan Raditya.
