GoJek Opens a Self-registration Feature on GoBiz to Help MSMEs

Gojek has just announced a new feature for the GoBiz application, namely Register Mandiri. This feature is here to answer the needs of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to adapt and start switching to digital platforms.

“In the latest GoBiz application, UMKM partners can take advantage of the Mandiri Register feature to register, check verification status, and activate accounts independently,” said Head of Merchant Platform Business Gojek, Novi Tandjung, in an official statement received, Wednesday (16/9 / 2020).

According to Novi, this new innovation also answers the needs of MSME players, especially with the re-imposition of Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) in Jakarta. Therefore, the ease and security of access during the activation process are expected to be able to support MSMEs to adapt and expand their business wings.

“With the reliability of this technology, the process of digitizing MSMEs will be easier and safer, proven in the midst of a pandemic, Gojek has succeeded in accelerating the digitization of MSMEs, by joining 265 thousand culinary MSMEs as GoFood merchant partners in the March-August 2020 period,” he continued.

The GoBiz application itself does make it easy for partners to develop their business while managing business operations. The reason is, this application already supports several features, such as expanding market access through GoFood, non-cash payments with GoPay, to restaurant management supported by Point of Sale (POS) integrated quick reports.

MSME players who want to join this platform only need to download the GoBiz application on the Play Store. After that, they can fill out the online registration form that has been provided. Once the registration process is complete and passes verification, the business actor only needs to reconfirm. Once the process is carried out, the perpetrator can immediately receive orders with the GoBiz platform.

Part of Gojek’s Complete Solution

GoBiz is part of the GoJek Together initiative. This initiative is an inclusive and comprehensive solution made by Gojek so that MSMEs start to switch business to the digital world.

Through this solution, MSMEs can more easily implement digitization by utilizing the Gojek ecosystem. MSME players can use it in every business operation, from marketing, ordering, payment, shipping, to administration.

This variety of solutions can be used by all types of MSMEs, from micro to large. Apart from providing comprehensive solutions, Gojek also collaborates with a number of payment partners, such as QRIS and LinkAja, as well as logistics service providers Pos Indonesia, Paxel, and JNE.

According to Andre, in this solution, Gojek applies the principle of mutual cooperation in helping MSMEs. Therefore, Andre hopes that the expected solution can accelerate the transformation of MSMEs and traditional businesses into digital businesses.

One of GoFood’s Business Partners, owner of the Ayam Si Jagur Sambel Ngajelegur restaurant, Bandung, Eka Sopian, appreciated the new features presented by GoBiz. “This feature is cool, really helpful. So it is easier for those who want to register their business on GoJek. Previously, I felt I had to go back and forth. Especially if there were missing documents and so on,” he recalls.

He also shared stories about his business development with GoBiz. Eka started her culinary business with a simple shop and partnered with GoFood. Now, not even three years old, he has managed four branches of business.

“GoBiz is my mainstay application because it has all the solutions I need. There is a function of recording and an automatic recap of transactions at the shop, apart from being fast and efficient, this automation service is also very helpful since my business still has a minimum number of employees,” said Eka.
