Gojek works closely with educational startup Zenius to provide free online learning services on its platform. The use of features like this is increasing amid the corona pandemic because students learn from home.
Through this partnership, students can access Zenius services on the Gojek application. “The targeted solutions that we provide always depart from problems that exist in the daily lives of users, according to this online education service,” Head of the Third Party Platform Gojek Sony Radhityo was quoted as saying in a press release on Monday (6/4).
He said, partners and Gojek users spread across almost all of Indonesia. “This collaboration is expected to provide benefits to the wider community,” Sony said.
To access the online learning service, users can click on the Zenius application’s shuffle cards on the Gojek main page. After that, users choose the topic or subject that they want to study.
There are at least 80 thousand learning videos and practice questions from Zenius that can be accessed free on the Gojek application. This video consists of material classes 1 to 12, according to the applicable national curriculum.
Live Teaching is also available, where online classes will be guided by Zenius tutors from various subjects. This class will be broadcast live and equipped with a live chat feature, so students can directly ask the tutor during the session.
Zenius Hopes That They Can Reach More Users
Zenius Education Chief Executive Officer Rohan Monga hopes that the collaboration will help companies reach more students in various regions.
“Since the pandemic has occurred in Indonesia, Zenius has not stopped exploring innovations to provide students with the easiest access to independent study at home,” he said.
Rohan is a former Chief Operating Officer of Gojek, who joined in 2015. Then, he led Zenius since the end of last year. He had said that educational startups are more difficult to attract consumers.
“We must ensure that the majority of consumers use the platform consistently,” Rohan said in February. Also, he must ensure that the material is well conveyed. “That way, it can produce maximum output,” he said. As a result, users will use their services again.
However, now the use of online learning services is soaring due to the corona pandemic. “The technology team works around the clock to ensure that spikes in use do not interfere with the performance of our platform,” Rohan said some time ago (3/24).
Whereas the demand for ride-sharing services in Gojek decreased due to a pandemic. However, GoFood’s food-delivery service still recorded an increase in orders.
Users Can Access Various Zenius Services from the Gojek Platform
The collaboration is realized in the form of online education services offered by Zenius which can be accessed through the Gojek application. So, the learning process can still be done at home during the Covid-19 pandemic.
“Since the pandemic occurred in Indonesia, we have not stopped exploring various innovations so as much as possible to provide the easiest access for students to learn independently at home,” Zenius Education CEO Rohan Monga said in an official statement received on Monday (6/4/2020).
Rohan further said that the program was also a form of active support from the two startups on the government’s call for activities at home during the pandemic.
“The presence of online education services in the Gojek application, is one of our tangible efforts to ensure that the nation’s children throughout Indonesia are #tepproductive and can learn independently and comfortably and safely at home,” Gojek Head of Sony Radhityo Gojek’s Third Party Platform said.
Zenius service can later be selected from the shuffle cards on the main page of the Gojek application. After that, users can immediately choose the topic or subject that they want to study.
Through this collaboration, users can access 80,000 learning videos and practice questions, live teaching, and Zenius daily learning plans.
