Gojek recently announced that it has expanded the J3K Comfort Zone to a new location at the Jabodetabek train station. This is done to make it easier for customers to maintain cleanliness, health and safety during the pandemic.
Not only that, for the J3K Comfort Zone which is present at Depok Baru station, Gojek provides it with a personal helmet storage area, so that commuters remain safe and comfortable when traveling by train.
“We launched the J3K Comfort Zone at several train stations in Jabodetabek to help community mobility either from or to the Jakarta buffer city,” said VP Regional Operations Gojek, Gede Manggala, in an official statement, Tuesday (27/10/2020).
Furthermore, Gede said, the presence of the J3K Comfort Zone also provides a sense of security and comfort for Gojek users during the adaptation period for new habits. Later, in the J3K Comfort Zone, Gojek customers, both GoRide and GoCar, will receive a sterilization protocol which includes:
1. Implementation of the physical distancing procedure in the queue
2. Check body temperature
3. Hand cleaning with a hand sanitizer
4. Giving masks and headgear
5. Spraying disinfectant on helmets and car door handles
“All facilities and services available to customers at the J3K Gojek Comfort Zone are not subject to any additional fees,” said Gede ending his statement.
Gojek Trips to and from Transportation Hubs in Jabodetabek Have Increased by 46 Percent
Previously, Gojek and the government collaborated to encourage the expansion and integration of public transportation, one of which is in DKI Jakarta. Head of Transport Gojek Group, Raditya Wibowo, said the collaboration carried out by stakeholders is necessary to accelerate transportation integration.
“People move to various places, and in the end people don’t want to bother with route and transportation choices. But if all modes of transportation work together and are integrated, it will be win-win,” Raditya said in his statement, Monday (26/10/2020).
He said, various Gojek solutions, including GoRide and GoCar services, have become people’s choice as a means of connecting the start and end of trips (first-mile-last-mile) for public transportation users in Jabodetabek.
With Gojek, public transportation is easier to reach and more frequently used by the community. This is evident from the number of trips with Gojek to and from transportation hubs which have increased by 46 percent each year.
“The increase shows that the presence of GoRide and GoCar services has become an important part of complementing public transportation to meet the mobility needs of people in urban areas, such as Jabodetabek,” said Raditya.
Travel to MRT Station Increases Up to 7 Times
This is reinforced by Gojek’s internal data which states that 1 in 2 Gojek customers have used Gojek services from or to transportation hubs. Then, the number of users who use GoRide and GoCar services to get to the MRT station in December 2019 has increased almost seven times since the MRT was launched.
Eleven KRL Commuter Line and Long Distance Train station locations are also the starting points and destinations most often ordered by GoRide service users in Jabodetabek. Raditya explained that people who use GoRide and GoCar as the starting and ending links for trips to public transportation centers also save travel time by up to 40 percent.
GoRide Instant features and services can cut user waiting times by up to 40 percent at various public transportation connection points such as MRT, KRL, and Transjakarta Stations.
