Hellofit Distributes Aid to Sardjito Hospital in Yogyakarta

The Hellofit health startup again donated personal protective equipment (PPE) Yogyakarta and medical equipment to prevent Covid-19 transmission. Total assistance provided reached Rp 2 billion.

After Solo and Semarang, this time targeting Yogyakarta. Yogyakarta is also incessantly suppressing the number of people with Covid-19 and breaking the chain of transmission. Assistance was given to Dr. Sardjito Hospital, in the form of medical equipment worth Rp 700 million.

“Prevention of Covid-19 transmission in Yogya has been going well. I hope that Yogya can still withstand the rate of increase in the number of people with Covid-19. Therefore, we provide assistance to Dr. Sardjito Hospital Yogyakarta, so that it can be maximized to provide protection to medical personnel,” Founder and CEO of Hellofit, Vincent Geraldi explained, Monday (4/20/2020).

The provision of this assistance is based on his concern that medical personnel are equipped with PPE following applicable standards. He felt sad if there were medical staffs on duty that were not equipped with PPE according to the standard.

They need maximum protection when handling patients. Therefore, Vincent remains focused on PPE and medical equipment for medical personnel.

This time the assistance was in the form of 1,000 N95 masks, 500 hazmat clothes, 2,000 medical gloves, 500 face shields, 500 protective goggles, 10,000 fabric masks, 1,000 bottles and 48 gallons of hand sanitizer.

The delivery of PPE assistance and other medical equipment was received directly by the Director of the General Hospital Dr. Sardjito Dr. Rukmono Siswishanto, M. Kes., Sp.OG (K) accompanied by Dr. Rini Sunaring Putri, M.Kes.

“The Regional Government and the Covid-19 Handling Task Force Team have indeed worked hard to provide PPE, however the numbers have not been able to cover the needs of medical personnel. Therefore, I appreciate the assistance from various parties. Like now from Hellofit which provides assistance that is needed by medical personnel. By using standardized PPE, medical staff will feel safer and pay attention to their safety,” Dr. Rukmono said when delivering aid.

According to him, in dealing with Covid-19, it was indeed necessary to offer assistance from various parties. Moreover, Dr. Sardjito Hospital has been designated as a Covid-19 referral center. He also highly appreciated the sincerity and value of cooperation that emerged in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic.

“I am pleased and proud that this assistance is real proof of full support for medical personnel. I salute that there are young people who come down directly. Hopefully it will be an inspiration for other young people to help. We also urge that the younger generation be more aware of the dangers of this coronavirus pandemic. Lighten the task of the hospital by protecting themselves from Corona transmission,” he said.

N95 Masks and Hazmat Suits are the Main Aid from the Company for Medical Personnel

Responding to the speech of the Director of RSUP Dr. Sardjito, Vincent stated that the supply of N95 masks and hazmat suits was the main focus of his side.

“I want medical personnel to get maximum protection. At present, both N95 masks and hazmat shirts are becoming scarce. Even if there is a price it can multiply. Me and the Hellofit team are working hard to help hospitals get these hazmat masks and clothes,” he explained.

Vincent admitted that he was happy to take part in jumping in to help doctors and other medical staff at Dr. Sardjito General Hospital. He also invited other young people to actively help fight the Covid-19 pandemic.

Especially now some patients are people without symptoms. Therefore, the protection of medical personnel must be fulfilled. Many medical personnel, including doctors, nurses or other health professions, have been exposed to Corona. Not even a few of them lost their lives.

Vincent claimed he did not want anything like this to happen again. Because of this, Hellofit takes part in preventing corona transmission.
