Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) are the backbone of the economy, but they are being hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. Declining sales and rising costs are just some of the challenges faced by SMEs.
The SME Solutions Expo 2020, to be held online from 19 to 23 October, will provide SMEs with insights and connections to build sustainable, resilient businesses – all from the safety of the home or office.
Organised by Business Media International and co-organised by Small and Medium Enterprises Association of Malaysia (SAMENTA) and SME Magazine, the SME Solutions Expo celebrates it’s 10th anniversary this year as Malaysia’s largest expo for SMEs.
This year, due to the COVID-19, the organisers will be organising the expo virtually at www.smeexpo.asia, while featuring the same thought leaders and industry experts, and carefully selected vendors.
Dato’ William Ng, group publisher and editor-in-chief of Business Media International said, “SMEs are currently facing the threat of a third wave of COVID-19. With the announcement of the CMCO in Klang Valley starting 14 October 2020, the virtual SME Solutions Expo is a timely answer to the questions many SMEs are asking: How can we survive until 2021? What can we do to transform the business? Who can we turn to for help?”
The SME Solutions Expo includes a virtual exhibition of more than 60 innovative solution providers across all sectors, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Affinbank, FedEx, MPI Generali, Xero, and more. The Expo is also supported by SME-focused government agencies including the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA), Institut Keusahawanan Negara (INSKEN), and Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE).
Aside from the exhibition, SMEs can also attend the SME CEO Forum 2020, which is now part of the SME Solutions Expo 2020, also in virtual format. Organised around the theme of customer experience, SMEs can discover new and exciting ways to innovate and enhance the business from key opinion leaders and experts. Other engaging activities include Masterclass Asia, to learn and engage in strategic discourses and discussions with industry leaders and innovators.
“If you are a business owner or entrepreneur, know that you are not alone. This pandemic can take down even the best run companies – but with the right help you can rise again, and rise stronger. Do join us at the SME Solutions Expo and get the help that you need,” Ng added.
The SME Solutions Expo 2020 will be held online from 19 October to 23 October 2020. Registration is free for entrepreneurs and business owners. To register and to find out more, visit http://virtual.smeexpo.asia/.
