The Travelio property rental platform, which previously managed the rental of fully furnished apartments (daily, monthly, yearly) via the website and application, is now expanding its business to renting unfurnished apartments and houses.
This expansion is the result of this startup’s collaboration with several well-known property developers in Indonesia, such as Intiland, Ciputra Group, Trans Property, PP Property, Meikarta, and Adhi Commuter Properti.
“Our focus is to make rental housing more affordable, with a minimum rental duration of three months, competitive prices and payments that can be made per month,” said Travelio CEO, Hendry Rusli, through his statement, Friday (26/3/2021).
Regarding Travelio’s future business prospects, Hendry is optimistic that the large market size can generate large revenue as well.
“We hope to become a market leader. This can support Travelio’s big vision to become the largest technology-based company in Southeast Asia that provides integrated property management and rental,” concluded Hendry.
5 Years of Experience
Hendry said property developers realize that apartment owners do not only use their units for private residences, but also for investment. “Therefore, they entrust Travelio to help with renting out their houses and apartments. Travelio is trusted because of its good track record,” claims Hendry.
He explained that the company has 5 years of experience managing property, especially apartments. Currently, Travelio is innovating to process and provide unfurnished apartments and houses. Travelio’s online property management site has released a new feature, namely the rental of unfurnished apartments and residential houses.
Since its release, 300 unfurnished apartments and houses have been available. When compared to tenants of fully furnished apartments, the number of unfurnished apartments is still low, around 18 percent of the occupancy rate.
Since its establishment in 2015, Travelio is the largest online property management site in Indonesia that manages a variety of standardized fully furnished apartments that are rented daily, monthly, and yearly through an online platform in the form of a website and application.
In early Q4 2020, officially expanded the business to renting unfurnished apartments and houses with medium to long-term leases.
Travelio’s collaboration with several well-known property developers in Indonesia such as Intiland, Ciputra Group, Trans Property, PP Property, Meikarta, and Adhi Commuter Properti results in this expansion.
The company is trusted by Intiland to sell the rental of Aeropolis Residence and Praxis Surabaya apartment units. Meanwhile, Travelio was chosen by Ciputra Group to collaborate in order to manage the rental of the Vida View apartment in the center of Makassar City, South Sulawesi.
Provides Fully-furnished Apartment
This startup was also invited to work together by Adhi Commuter Properti early this year to help market LRT City apartment units such as Citra Landmark and Grand Central Bogor. Since the launching of Travelio Property Management, Travelio has focused on providing fully furnished apartment rentals.
The market size of unfurnished apartments and houses is larger than the fully-furnished ones. Most of the owners buy an empty apartment. Therefore, the company hopes to provide more options for their customers.
“We have five years of experience managing properties, especially apartments. This business also didn’t exist before. Currently, we are innovating to process and provide unfurnished apartments and houses,” said Hendry Rusli, CEO of Travelio, in a press release, Monday.
Unfurnished apartment rentals are available on a monthly basis for a minimum of three months, prices vary depending on the type. The cheapest price is around IDR 1 million for the studio type at the Aeropolis Residence apartment.
Meanwhile, houses can be rented for at least 6 months, varying in price depending on location and type (furnished/unfurnished). The cheapest price is around IDR 600 thousand/month for unfurnished houses.
